The Right Time

Pastor Peter shared the below video as well as a written letter also attached below, informing the congregation that after 13 years of being the pastor of One Hope it is time to pass the baton to a new lead pastor.

Passing the Baton

The Sunday after his video announcement, Pastor Peter used the sermon time to share his decision making process concerning the decision to begint he process of passing the baton to a new lead pastor and  also shared what he will be doing in his next ministry role.

Congregational Meeting - Forming a Call Team

After the service the Elders shared initial plans regarding next steps in forming a Call Team.

Call Team Presented for Vote

Elders present the seven call team members selected and to be voted on by the congregation the following week.

Call Team Affirmation Vote

The votes are in and our slate of seven team members overwhelmingly passed 44-5.  The five "no votes" each graciously shared a very reasonable concern about the demographic makeup of the team.  If any of you shared that concern, please see the response below one of our Elders shared with a person who also had that concern.
